How to Travel More: Direct Flights LAX to Europe
So you’re an American with limited vacation time and trying to travel more? Well I’ve got news for you - it’s possible - you just need to learn how to work the system a little more.
When you’re low on time, the last thing you want to do is waste a lot of time in transit, so this is where direct flights and knowing how to find them is really going to be your lifesaver. LAX has a lot of options direct to Europe, which I’m going to list for you below - as well as teach you how to find direct flights yourself (as airline flight routes change by the season - and my search results are based on SUMMER travel which is usually more beefed up than other times of year).
I already went over how to use Google Flights to find cheap flights when you have a flexible destination or flexible timeline - and you can use the same filters to only show yourself nonstop flights.
But just as a little refresher, you navigate to google.com/flights - input your departure airport as LAX (this can obviously also be done with whatever city you live in), input dates (you can later toggle this around), leave “Where to” blank, then hit Search.
When the map of the world pulls up - filter “Stops” at the top to “Nonstop” only.
PRO TIP: If you’re short on vacation time, I also recommend filtering it even further to show you red eye / overnight flights so you are traveling while sleeping, maximizing your time exploring a country (and also cutting down on hotel nights) - saving you TIME AND MONEY. But for the purposes of this article, I’m going to show you ALL nonstop options from LAX.
So what did we find? Here is a list of European destinations that you can travel NONSTOP to from LAX.
